Piute County is an all by mail voting county. Please check with the County Clerk’s Office to see if your information is correct and you have a signature on file.

You are eligible to vote in Utah if you are a United States citizen, at least 18 years old on or before election day, and will have resided in the State for 30 days prior to election day.
If you are an incarcerated felon you are not eligible to vote in Utah.
Municipal Elections to elect the mayor and council members are nonpartisan and are held on odd-numbered years. These elections are administered by the City offices and the polling places may be different than those used in even-numbered years.
Countywide elections are held in even-numbered years and are administered by the County Clerk/Auditor office.
The Election Division is under the direction of, Piute County Clerk/Auditor.
Registration may be done year round except for the 15-day period preceding any primary, general or special election. (UCA 20A-2-101(2))

PUBLIC NOTICE
Piute County’s Public Logic and Accuracy Test on the voting machines will take place on
Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 10:00 PM at the Piute County Courthouse.
EARLY VOTING AND POLLING LOCATION
Piute County will have early voting for the November 5, 2024 General Election
Early voting will be held @ the Piute County Courthouse
October 22nd thru October 24th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
October 28th thru October 31st from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
November 5th voting will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Since Piute County is by mail ballots this year if you choose to vote at the machine during these
dates please be aware that you need to bring your ballot you received by mail to surrender to the clerk
to ensure there is no double voting.

Ballots can be returned any of the following ways:
By mail; Dropped off at the Drop boxes Located at the Town Building’s; or hand delivered to the clerk’s office
Signature Verification Instruction Policy
Signature verification audits must be performed on 1% of all ballot envelopes PRIOR to any passed ballots in that group being separated from their envelopes AND on 1% of all challenged ballots prior to notification being sent to voters. This allows the clerk to find and address any issues prior to tabulation. It also allows election officials to set the timing of the audit so as not to interfere with process flows. These audits will be recurring throughout ballot processing and can be done daily, hourly, etc – at the clerk’s choosing. Piute County Clerk’s Office will be selecting random samples that check signatures in multiple batches daily at 11:00 AM during the election cycle

Piute County’s Post Election Audit will take place on Tuesday November 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Piute County Courthouse.
